Dan Ionescu

Dan Ionescu is the founder and principal of Dan Ionescu Architects & Planners (DIAP). He holds a Masters of Architecture degree from the International Institute of Architecture and Urban Design, Bucharest, Romania.

Mr. Ionescu founded DIAP in 1982, and has seen it evolve from a local San Francisco Bay Area firm, to an international, well-diversified architectural practice with offices in Oslo and Buenos Aires. DIAP has a history of an outstanding volume of design and planning achievements, encompassing such recognized buildings as Grandview in Atlanta, Georgia, and Fashion Island in San Mateo, California. For more than 21 years DIAP has maintained its commitment to integrity of design by establishing an extensive network of consultants, enabling DIAP to remain focused on quality of design and service while operating with comprehensive resources and support.
