Adopt A Planter Program
True to its charter to enhance the Quality of Life in Burlingame, the Citizens for a Better Burlingame successfully implemented an ’Adopt a Planter’ program in Downtown Burlingame.
All planters were adopted by merchants, families and service clubs.
Thank you to everyone for a great start to the Adopt a Planter Program!
In 2004 the control and management of the program was transferred to the nascent Downtown Burlingame Business Improvement District (DBID) who managed the watering contracts.
In May 2006 the DBID was disbanded due to the objections of many of the local merchants and businesses. Since that time the newly formed Downtown Burlingame Business Association has taken over management of the planter program.
CBB continues to be a sponsor of a planter on Burlingame Avenue.
