Council Opinion
On March 3, 2004 the five city council members discussed and eventually voted on the Safeway project appeal. Safeway was appealing the 6-1 denial voted on by the Planning Commissioners. The city council heard from many citizens, merchants and union representatives. Each council member discussed the reasons why they decided to vote to uphold or overturn the planning commissioners decision.
